A lovely and *clean* romantic tale! I am so glad I took the chance to read this as it was well-paced, fun, and well written.
I loved this heroine, her kind and generous heart, her frank and open nature, her relationship with her staff, and even her hidden insecurities and feelings (that were talked about without droning on about them as some authors like to do). The 'hero' learned, grew, and became a wonderfully likable fellow. This story had humor, heart, and a nice plot. Truly, I definitely recommend this light and uplifting story, and hope the author will give us more fantastic Regency romance stories of this caliber. And, by the way, my thanks also for a clean romance!

I really liked this one. I love the regency period and this book intrigued me since the author based it on a real person. It was well written and had both humor and wit.
Lacey is a lovable character whose personality makes this novel a delight to read. Was there really a woman Jenni was able to model her after? Lord Compton is not the usual rogue one finds being paired with innocent beauties which is a refreshing twist. This series will surely be one worth keeping in my private collection!
